The presentation today was really cool but i dont think i will being using a lot of that stuff in my classroom because there is just way to much info to know. I wouldn't mind learning about it but its a little bit to out there for my teaching practices. Its hard enough to be a first year teacher without a lot of resources and trying to implement this into our teaching practices would be supppppppper tough. As for blogging and using google websites I would defiantly use those in my teaching practices. I think that the presentation was very informative but a little over whelming. I will try to incorporate technology into my classes but not to an extent where my classroom is all about technology.
Overall after looking at the lap dance video that went viral OMG!!!!!!!!!!! was that unreal. I feel that it was a stupid thing to do and was a mindless act of carelessness. We as teachers are in a very vulnerable position and you could defiantly loose your job over the littlest thing. It is a very scary world for us teachers and i feel that we need to thing before every step we make or else our careers are going down the tubes.

ReplyDeleteThe lap dance video was so crazy. That incident was pretty outrageous, but it is scary that teachers do not even have to do something that bad to get into trouble with administration, parents, or the community. As teachers, we have such high expectations to be "pure" almost otherwise we may be seen as bad role models for our students.
Maybe we should have been priests!

The lap dance video was crazy!!!! I don't know what they were thinking!!! We are role models for our students, so we do have to watch every little thing that we do. Skinner scared me pretty good in Educator and the Law, but I'm glad I took the course, so that I am more aware of my rights as an educator.
